Jennifer "Jenny" Leigh Harting, 16, of 415 1st St, Jesup, died Tuesday, January 25, 1994 at her home.

She was born March 9, 1977 in Waterloo, the daughter of Lester R. Harting and Dixie Schares.

Jenny was a junior at Jesup High School where she participated in volleyball and chorus, and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Survivors include her maternal grandmother, Belle Boyer of Jesup, with whom she lived; her mother, Dixie Schares of Jesup; two brothers, Justin Harting of Jesup and Jason Arnold of Dubuque; and her paternal grandmother, Darlene Harting of Jesup.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1989 and her maternal grandfather, Larry Boyer in 1984.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, at the First United Methodist church, Jesup, with burial in Washington Township Cemetery, Morrison, Iowa.

Parker Funeral Chapel of Jesup was in charge of the arrangements.
