Mrs. Buffington Died Saturday

Mrs. H. C. Buffington passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Mulder, at 11:35 p.m. on November, 1st, 1952. She had lived with her daughter since the death of her husband two years ago. Mrs. Buffington suffered a stroke in August of 1951 and had been bedfast since that time.

Mamie C. Feezer was born August 8, 1867, at Mt. Carroll, Ill. She was married to H. C. Buffington on May 22, 1890. In 1893 they moved to Morrison where they continued to live until their death. Mr. and Mrs. Buffington operated a livery stable, a store and other business places. Mrs. Buffington served the government as postmaster of Morrison for fifteen years, retiring October first, 1946.

She is survived by her one daughter, Mrs. Bernice Mulder and one grand-daughter, Kathryn Mulder, a registered nurse at Iowa Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and her husband in 1950.

Services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Morrison Presbyterian church and burial in the Washington township cemetery beside her husband.

Mrs. Buffington was always a great favorite among children and she leaves besides a host of other friends, a large number of little friends by whom she will be greatly missed.
