Funeral Sunday

Whitten--Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Brooks, 94, who died early Friday morning at her home in Whitten, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist church in Whitten in charge of Rev. Walter Dimmlich. Burial will be in the Benson cemetery.

Whitten Woman, 95, Is Dead

Mrs. E. C. Brook, the oldest person in the Whitten locality, died at her home in Whitten last Friday from old age and complications. She was 95 years old on her last birthday.

Before coming to Iowa, the Brook family lived in Kansas several years. They came to Grundy county in 1898 and Mrs. Brook resided in Whitten and vicinity ever since. Her husband died in 1922. The couple had two children, both of whom are dead.

Funeral services were held at Whitten Sunday afternoon. Burial was in the Benson cemetery.
