Whitten Woman Dies In State Hospital At Independence

Mrs. Nate Flaherty died in the state asylum at Independence last Thursday after a short illness. She had been taken to the asylum only a week before. She was 70 years old. She was a long time resident of Whitten and vicinity. Her mother, Mrs. E. C. Brooks, who is 93, is still living in Whitten. Funeral services were held at Whitten Sunday.

Former Resident Dies

Friends here were sorry to learn of the death of Mrs. Jessie Flaherty of Whitten. Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 13, at Whitten and burial was made beside the husband, a former manager of the Alden Elevator, who passed away 11 years ago.
