Services Tuesday For Icle Bachman

Services were conducted Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1:30 p.m. from the Methodist Church in Albion for Icle Glen Bachman, 65, who died Saturday at the Eldora Community Hospital. Biersborn Funeral Home of Union is handling funeral arrangements.

Interment was in the Benson Cemetery near Whitten. Mr. Bachman was born May 22, 1906 at Greencastle, Mo., the son of John and Effie Bachman. He was raised and educated in the Union and Whitten area.

On June 10, 1953 he was married to Charity Long. He has resided in the Albion community the past 13 years, being employed at Fisher Company in Marshalltown. He retired in May, 1971.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two brothers, and a daughter. A member of the Albion Methodist Church, he was active in the UAW union.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters by a former marriage, Mrs. Ellis (Colleen) Harmon of Albion, Mrs. Harold (Kay Ann) Lowry of Marshalltown; 6 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Fistler of Albion and two brothers, Ross, now of the Iowa Soldiers Home in Marshalltown and Al of Liscomb.
