Rites Held For George Arnold, 71

Services for George E. Arnold, 71, who died at his home in Leavenworth, Wash., were held Saturday, November 27 at the Whitten Methodist Church with the Rev. Preston Hinderks officiating. Burial was in the Benson cemetery.

Mr. Arnold was born July 24, 1900, in Grundy county, the son of Frank and Tamer Eggleston Arnold. He was married to Gladys Fisher on Dec. 25, 1925 and they lived in Whitten and Albion communities until 1944 when they moved to Washington.

He is survived by his widow; two sons, George E. Jr. of Tennessee and David of Chelan, Wash.; one daughter, Mrs. Judson Freed, Eldora; one brother, Walter, Whitten; one sister, Fern Hinshaw of Eldora; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
