Frank Arnold Dies; Rites On Sunday

Frank B. Arnold, 86, died Wednesday on the farm near Whitten where he had resided for the last 50 years.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Whitten Methodist Church, Rev. Edward Shuey in charge. Burial was in the Benson cemetery.

Mr. Arnold was born May 30, 1873[sic], in Grundy County, a son of Zacharias and Susan Arnold. He was the last of 11 children, having been preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.

He was married Feb. 22, 1899, to Tamar Eggleston, who died Feb. 16, 1944. His second marriage was March 22, 1952, to Dottie Davis, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons and a daughter, George of Levenworth, Wash., Walter of Whitten and Mrs. Fern Hinshaw of Eldora; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. One grandson preceded him in death.
