Robert Mastin

Robert M. Mastin died at the home of his son, G. W. Mastin in this city, last Wednesday, April 29, at the age of 86 years, four months and 19 days. Deceased was born in Ulster county, New York, and at the age of 15 went to Cayuga county, that state, where in 1834 he married Miss Lenora Tracy, whose death occurred April 19. They moved to Livingstone county in 1839 where they lived until 1871, when the came to Grundy county and located on a farm near Wellsburg, at which place they have lived ever since. Mr. Mastin was prostrated by a nervous shock at the time of Mrs. Mastin's death from which he did not recover. Mr. Mastin leaves one brother, the youngest of a family of ten, to survive him. He also leaves four children and a number of grandchildren, who have the heartfelt sympathy of many friends. The funeral occurred Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Baptist church.
