C. A. Tellier, Former School Supt., Died Thur.

C. A. Tellier, who served as superintendent of the Wellsburg schools, died at Webster City on Thursday morning following an illness of about six months. He was reported to be suffering from nervous trouble. His health began to fail last summer. He was at the hospital several weeks for treatment but showed no improvement. His condition declined gradually until the end came. He was 36 years old.

Mr. Tellier came to the Wellsburg schools in the summer of 1937. He remained here as superintendent for two years. Last year he was elected superintendent of schools at Blairsburg, Iowa. His health went bad during the summer and he was not able to serve in his new position at Blairsburg. The school board at that place continued to give him a leave of absence and held the place open for him with the expectation that he would get well.

Surviving are the widow and three children.

Funeral services were held at Webster City Saturday afternoon from the home of Mrs. Tellier's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Gledden. Burial was at Humboldt, Iowa.

Many From Wellsburg Go To Funeral
Pupils and teachers of the Wellsburg school and other friends contributed to a beautiful floral tribute which was taken to Webster City with the friends from here who attended the funeral.

Wellsburg friends who were at the funeral were J. J. Ludemann, George Lindaman, E. S. Fetter, Mr. and Mrs. John Doyen and daughter Florence, Mr. Brower, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Heikens and two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Taffinder, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Claassen, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Vahlsing, Supt. and Mrs. C. V. Hill. Richard Claassen and Dave Taffinder served as pallbearers.

Eight boy scouts who were in training under the former school superintendent attended his funeral. They were Willard Riekena, Clarence Heinrich, Lee Huisman, Frank Fetter, Herbert Meyer, John Doyen, Harley Meyer and Leland Luwe.
