Jay C. Hileman, 65, died at 7 a.m. Thursday at his home, 428 Wellington St., following a heart attack.

The son of Joseph N. and Lillian Hummel Hileman, he was born Mar. 23, 1888, at La Porte City. In 1916 he married Anna Kauth, who died in January, 1925.

On June 23, 1928, at Waterville, Minn., he married Louise Doyen.

Five years ago, he retired from active business activities. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Masonic lodge.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Sgt. Robert D. Hileman of the Marine Corps stationed at Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, Cal., and Joseph K., 320 Sunset Rd., and one sister, Mrs. Daisy Sigworth, 428 Wellington St.

The body is at O'Keefe & Towne funeral home, where funeral arrangements are pending.
