Former Resident Buried Recently

Word has been received here of the recent death of Mrs. Edith Noble, 82, former Iowa Falls resident, at an Iowa City hospital. She had been ill since last fall. Death occurred on Monday, Jan. 26 and burial was in a Marshalltown cemetery.

Mrs. Noble was born on Aug. 2, 1876, the daughter of John and Alice Golly. She spent most of her early life in Iowa Falls and worked for many years as a pastry cook in a restaurant here. She was married on Oct. 5, 1914, to Louis Lampel of Wellsburg. Her first husband preceded her in death and she was married again on Aug. 24, 1936 to Newell J. Noble, who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Warren Scoville of Marshalltown and a son, Alvin Lampel, also of Marshalltown.
