Deborah Cox Services Held

Deborah Cox, 47, of Dike died Wednesday, October 22, at her home in Dike of natural causes.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 27, at the Cedar Bible Church in Cedar Falls. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery in Dike. A memorial fund has been established.

Deborah was born on October 2, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended and graduated from high school in Belton, Texas. On February 11, 1971, she was united in marriage to Galen J. Cox in Estherville.

Deborah is survived by her husband, Galen of Dike; 2 sons, Robert and his wife Gloria of Germany and Michael and his wife Kimberly of Cedar Falls; 1 half-brother, Larry Owens of Lilburn, Georgia; 3 sisters, Theresa Dietz of Waterloo, Sharon Turnbo of South Pasadena, California and Linda Strackbein of Dallas, Texas; 1 half-sister, Janie Davis of Dallas, Texas; and 1 grandson, Tanner Cox of Cedar Falls.

She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Charlotte and Jesse "Dude" Young.

The Dike Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
