Rites Held For Grace Willms

Grace Willms, 90, of Grundy Center, passed away Thursday, January 2, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center of natural causes.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, at First Baptist Church in Grundy Center. Burial followed in the Elmwood Cemetery in Dike.

A memorial fund has been established.

Grace was born on April 14, 1906, the daughter of Jacob K. and Grace Everts Muller in Grundy County. On August 10, 1925, she was united in marriage to William Willms in Grundy Center. He preceded her in death on August 5, 1980.

Grace is survived by 4 sons, Elmer of Dike, James of Grundy Center, Dean of Rockton, Illinois, and Don of Sioux City; 1 daughter, Darlene Smoldt of Grundy Center; 1 daughter-in-law, Virginia Willms of Cedar Falls; 1 sister, Rose Seeheusen of Parkersburg; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband William; 1 son, Edward; 1 granddaughter; 1 great-grandson; 3 sisters, Alice Muller, Freeda Muller and Anna DeVries; and 2 brothers, Klaas J. Muller and Jake Muller.

The Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home, Grundy Center, was in charge of the arrangements.
