Harriet Murra, 82, of Wellsburg, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Cedar Valley Hospice in Waterloo. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the Wellsburg Reformed Church. She will be laid to rest at the Wellsburg Reformed Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until service time on Wednesday at the church. Woodley Funeral Home, LLC of Iowa Falls is caring for Harriet and her family.

Harriet Jean Murra was born on July 21, 1937 in rural Grundy County, Iowa to Frank and Lydia Marie (Harms) Meyeraan, Sr. On March 20, 1958 she was united in marriage to Clarence R. Murra at the Wellsburg Reformed Church in Wellsburg, Iowa.

Harriet was a loving mother, homemaker and a remarkable cook. She loved preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Harriet loved animals and listening to country music.

Harriet Murra is survived by her husband of sixty one years, Clarence Murra of Wellsburg, Iowa; her children, Randy (Laurie) Murra of Wellsburg, Iowa, Nora (Michael) Grillo of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Curtis (Chris) Murra of Tampa, Florida and Marlyn (Jill) Murra of Parkersburg, Iowa; grandchildren: Jerod Murra, Trent Murra, Jesse Murra, Christina Cordes, Paul Grillo, Brian Murra, Sara Craft, Gregory Murra and Ryan Murra; four great- grandchildren; sisters and brother, Leona Spieker of Farmer City, Illinois, Kayleen Scholl of Carlisle, Iowa and Gary Meyeraan of Grundy Center, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as Rosella Oberender, Vernon Meyeraan, Joann Meyeraan, Frank Meyeraan Jr., Charlene Crocheck, Jerald Oberender and Matthew Scholl.
