John Cox Dies At Waterloo Home

John Cox, 60, died at his home in Waterloo Thursday, April 5, at 10:30 p.m. following a heart attack. He had been suffering from a tumor and recently returned from Rochester, Minn., where he had been receiving treatment.

He was born July 3, 1884, on a farm in Grundy county, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Cox. He married Miss Pauline Runge in Grundy county Feb. 23, 1911. Before moving to Waterloo he lived in Dike a number of years.

Surviving are his wife who makes her home with her son Vernie and family in Dike; four sons, Vernie of Dike, Raymond, John and Arthur, and one daughter, Mrs. LeRoy Burk, all of Waterloo.

Funeral services were held at the O'Keefe & Towne funeral home in Waterloo and burial was in the Dike cemetery.
