Norman Vogel, Young Army Officer, Dies In Washington

Norman Vogel, 28 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Vogel, living at Holland, died in a veterans hospital in Washington, D.C., Sunday from the effects of inoculation that resulted in blood poisoning. He was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army reserve corps. He had been residing in Milwaukee up to the time he was called back to the service. He has a wife and a 4 year old son.

The young man's father and his sister left for Washington last Wednesday when they were advised of Lieut. Vogel's serious condition and they remained with him. The body was brought to Bedford, Iowa, where funeral services were held yesterday.
