Services Saturday for Mrs. W. D. Beeman

Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon, April 11th at 1:30 p.m. for Mrs. William (Dena) Beeman. The services were at the Dike United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert Hoover, Jr., officiating. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery at Dike. The Dike Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Beeman passed away on Thursday morning, April 9th at the Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls where she had been a patient for three months.

Dena Bonk was born in Palermo Township, Grundy county, on July 20, 1899, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bonk. She married Wm. Beeman on Nov. 29, 1923 at Marshalltown.

They farmed west of Conrad until 1943 when they moved to the Dike area. She was a member of the Dike United Methodist Church and the Women's Society of Christian Service.

Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Jack (Jean) Schmid of White Bear Lake, Minn, Mrs. Wm. C. Fredrick of Galeta, California, Mrs. Wm. (Janice) Schupbach of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Duane (Betty) Habben of rural Dike; two brothers, Lyle Bonk of Grundy Center and Raymond Bonk of Waterloo; three sisters, Mrs. John DeBoer and Mrs. Peter Huisman, both of Grundy Center and Mrs. Neal Conradi of Reinbeck; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one brother and one sister.
