Obituary Of Myrtle Lynn

Myrtle Esther Lynn, daughter of David and Cora Lynn, was born at the farm home near Reinbeck on Dec. 4, 1895. She passed away in the Redfield hospital on Jan. 30, 1961, at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 26 days.

She attended school and grew to young womanhood in the Reinbeck vicinity. In 1912 she was united in marriage to James Floyd Lee of Dike, Iowa. To this marriage was born four sons: James Edward of Dumont, DeWayne of Minneapolis, William of West Des Moines and Merel of Culver City, Calif.

The family moved from Dike to the southern part of the state and took up residences at Van Meter and Adel. While living in Adel, Myrtle pursued a nursing course and graduated a practical nurse. She worked for some time in the hospital at Woodward.

In 1929 she married San Nuzum who preceded her in death in 1954. She was baptized into the Seventh Day Adventist Church in 1954.

Both parents and one brother, David, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her four sons, seven grandchildren, six sisters, two brothers and a number of nephews and nieces and a great many friends.

Funeral services were held at the Dike Methodist Church on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 2, with Rev. Charles Shobe of Marshalltown and Waterloo officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Graves who sang were accompanied by Mrs. John Paige at the organ. Mrs. Jake Alberts and Mrs. E. P. Tobias were in charge of the flowers. Pallbearers were Lynn Engel of Dike, Willis Lynn and Kenneth Krumlinde of Cedar Falls, Kenneth Lynn of Winthrop, Richard Krumlinde of Charles City and Ross Engel of Iowa City. Burial was at the Dike Elmwood cemetery.
