Patsy Miller Services Held

Patsy Bernice Miller, of Dike, died Sunday, September 13, 1998 at her residence of Lou Gehrig's Disease. She attained the age of 65 years, 2 months and 23 days.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 16, at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Dike. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery in Dike. Pastor Rick Johnson officiated. A memorial fund has been established.

Patsy was born on June 20, 1933, in Fairchild, Wisconsin, the daughter of Otto "Art" and Bernice (Miller) Wittren. She was graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1951. She worked at Diamond Brothers Warehouse. She was then united in marriage to Edward Miller on June 21, 1953 in Cedar Falls. She was a bookkeeper at M&M Body Shop from 1975-1977.

Patsy was a member of the Stout Reformed Church, and the Ladies circle at the Dike United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Dike.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward and her parents.

Survivors include her 2 sons, Marcus Miller of Dike and Byron and wife Barb Miller of Dike; a daughter, Suzanne and husband Roger Lechtenberg of Cedar Falls; a granddaughter, Brandi; a step-granddaughter, Amy Mesenbrink; 2 step-great-granddaughters, Jacquelyn and Sadie Mesenbrink; stepmother, Clara Wittren of New Hartford; 2 brothers, Richard and wife Betty Wittren of Cedar Falls and Robert and wife Marge Wittren of San Leandro, California; a sister, Betty and husband John Mendes of Junction City, Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.

Dike Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
