Caryl N. Jeanes, 83

Caryl N. Jeanes, 83, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Dike, died October 13 at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. Funeral services were October 17 at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery in Dike. A memorial fund will be established.

She was born April 13, 1920, the daughter of Earl Guy and Hazel Loretta (Straight) Saltzman. She married Donald Jeanes on December 7, 1938. Caryl was a nutritionist for many years at Harmony House Health Care Center in Waterloo, retiring in 1982.

She is survived by three sons; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother; and four sisters.

Caryl was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother; and a sister.
