Charlotte Biersner, 70

Charlotte Biersner, 70, of Dike, died October 25 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. Services were October 28 at the Dike United Methodist Church. Interment was in the Elmwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Cedar Valley Dialysis at Covenant Hospital or Habitat for Humanity.

Charlotte Ann Biersner was born October 22, 1935, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin and Mary (Terrall) Sprole. On October 16, 1952, she was united in marriage to Earl Biersner at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She had been employed in the Dike Community School district as the financial secretary for 29 years, retiring in 1994.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Earl of Dike; children, Bob (Pat) Biersner of Dike, Ann Geiken of Dike, Jane (Randy) Graham of Fairfax Station, VA, and Keith (Michelle) Biersner of South Riding, VA; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Sprole of Green Bay, WI; and daughter-in-law, Brenda Biersner of Dike.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, John.
