Marie Miller Services Thurs.

Marie Miller, of Dike, passed away Monday, March 7, at the Grundy Care Center in Grundy Center of natural causes, having attained the age of 93 years, 6 months and 5 days.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 10, at the United Methodist Church in Dike, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Thelma C. Subramanian officiating.

Pallbearers are Greg Black, Troy Todd, Donald Paige, Jack Heritage, Kurt Kelly and Wayne Paige.

Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Dike.

A memorial fund has been established.

Marie Christine Miller was born September 2, 1900, in Black Hawk county, the daughter of Chris and Anna (Nelson) Maag. She was united in marriage to Theodore Miller on December 13, 1922, in Allison. Marie and Theodore farmed near Cedar Falls until moving to Dike in 1929. Marie became a resident of the Grundy Care Center on March 1, 1994.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dike, and the Ladies Circle. Her hobbies included crocheting, sitting on her front porch, gardening and her flowers.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore in 1977; her parents; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Dike Funeral Chapel, Dike, was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
