Funeral Services Thursday, Nov 3 for "Ted" Miller

Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church, Dike last Thursday, Nov. 3, 1977 for Theodore "Ted" Miller, 72. Mr. Miller passed away at his home late Monday morning, Oct. 31st of an apparent heart attack.

The Rev. James Hanke, Jr. officiated at the 1:30 p.m. services. Organist Mrs. John Paige played special selections for the prelude and postlude and music interludes of "Old Rugged Cross" and "Good Night and Good Morning" during the services. Ushers were John Mulder and Russell Hohenberger. Flower attendants were Mrs. Vera Lee and Mrs. Lawrence Mark. Pallbearers were Larry Dreesman, Lawrence Mark, Fred Timmer, John Black, Max Morrow and Robert Troy.

Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery, Dike.

A memorial fund has been established.

The Dike Funeral Chapel who were in charge of the arrangements held viewing at the Chapel on Tuesday evening, Wednesday and on Thursday morning until the casket was taken to the church for viewing prior to the services.

Theodore Miller was born Nov. 13, 1904, in McNabb, Illinois the son of Hans and Caroline Knudsen Miller. He was united in marriage to Marie Maas on Dec. 13, 1922 at Alison, Iowa. They farmed near Cedar Falls until moving to Dike in 1929. He was then self-employed in the carpentry business till his retirement in 1967.

Mr. Miller's survivors are his wife, Marie; one brother, Herman Miller of Waterloo and one sister, Mrs. Ann Bogdis of Carrollton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
