Services Held For Patricia Miller

Services for Patricia Jean Miller, were held Saturday, March 19, 1994, at 11:00 a.m. at the Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, Iowa. Pat died Wednesday, March 16, 1994, at her residence.

Officiating was Rev. Homer Larsen. Organist was William McQuire.

Interment was in the Elmwood Cemetery, Dike, Iowa.

Pat was born December 25, 1932, in Hudson, Iowa, the daughter of Russell R. and Lucille V. (Wickens) Meewes. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1954 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education. She married Henry D. Miller, December 26, 1954, in Cedar Falls. They were later divorced.

Pat taught school in Garrison; Davenport; Bell Flower, California; and presently was a 5th grade instructor at Dike Community Schools. She was past president of both the Beta Lambda Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International and the Dike Education Association, a member of the Iowa State Education Association, a member of Individuals Together at Nazareth Lutheran Church, and was a past member of the New Hartford chapter of the O.E.S. She also was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church.

Pat is survived by one daughter, LuAnn Jackson of Waterloo, Iowa; two sons, Steven H. and Jerry D., both of West Allis, Wisconsin; her parents of Dike, Iowa; two brothers and their wives, Lester and Norma Meewes of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Ralph and Jean Meewes of Satellite Beach, Florida; and three grandchildren, Chadd J. Cronin, Lindsey A. Jackson, and Katie L. Jackson.

Richardson Service, Cedar Falls, Iowa, was in charge of funeral arrangements.
