Services Tuesday for Mrs. Andrew Johnson

Funeral services were held this past Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Andrew Johnson, 88. Services were at the Dike United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Hoover, Jr. officiating. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery, Dike. The Dike Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Johnson passed away early last Saturday morning at her home here in Dike.

Emma Rasmussen was born in Sweden on Dec. 15, 1880, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Rasmussen. She came to the United States in 1897. She was married to Andrew Johnson on Jan. 28, 1906.

She was a member of the Dike United Methodist Church. She had resided in Dike for the past 10 years.

Survivors include two sons, Ernest of Springville, Iowa, and Raymond of Lamberton, Minn.; three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Alice) Skoglund of Rock Island, Ill., Mrs. O. J. (Florence) Olson of Dike and Mrs. E. E. (Helen) Schaefer of Moline, Ill.; one brother, John and one sister, Thea Stahl of Sweden; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on June 16, 1963, and three brothers.
