Mrs. Hagerman Funeral Tuesday

Mrs. Sadie Hagerman, 83, died Friday morning at 11:45 at her home in Dike following several months illness of complications due to old age. She was born Nov. 8, 1862 in Linn County near Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John and Matilda Watters. She was married to D. H. Hagerman Dec. 30, 1891 at Hudson where they lived until coming to Dike in 1902. Mr. Hagerman, a furniture and hardware dealer in Dike for a number of years, died in 1937.

Mrs. Hagerman leaves a sister, Mrs. Jennie Parker of Vinton, who has been in Dike caring for her since last November. A niece, Mrs. Bernita Baumann of Milwaukee, Harold E. Wilson of Luling, Texas, C. E. Sewart of Jesup and Lloyd Parker of Vinton, nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Dike Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 3 at 2 o'clock with Rev. James Bird officiating. Burial was in the Dike cemetery.
