Services Held For Lloyd Davids

Lloyd William Davids died February 9, 1985 at the Iowa Veterans Home at Marshalltown of a lingering illness. He was the son of Cora and William H. Davids, both of whom preceded him in death.

Mr. Davids was born August 11, 1917 at Dike, where he lived most of his life.

He graduated from Dike high school and served in the United States Army from 1940 to 1945, serving in Australia and New Guinea. He was employed in construction work until becoming totally disabled with rheumatoid arthritis in 1971. For the last five years he resided in the Iowa Veterans Home.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Merle (Opal) McInroy of Cedar Falls, two nephews and one niece. He requested his body be donated to Science at the University of Iowa.

A memorial service will be held at the time of interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Dike. Arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Davids Memorial Service

Memorial services for Lloyd William Davids will be held Saturday, May 18 at 1 p.m. in the Dike United Methodist Church with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mr. Davids died February 9, 1985. He requested that his body be donated to the Medical School at the university of Iowa.
