Services Friday For Henry F. Rathman

Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the French Funeral home in Reinbeck for Henry F. Rathman, 88, who passed away on Tuesday at the Christie Convalescent Home in Cedar Falls. Death came as a result of complications of old age.

Henry Rathman was born Jan. 19, 1868, at Provico, Cook county, Illinois. He came to Grundy county as a young man and engaged in farming near Dike until retiring in 1918.

He was preceded in death by his wife, four sons, one daughter, four brothers and one sister. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John Schmidt, and one son, Elmer, both of Waterloo, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in the Dike cemetery.
