Dorothea J. Bauer (1909-2003)

Cedar Falls--Dorothea J. Bauer, 93, of Tupelo, Miss., formerly of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, Jan. 5, at Beverly Health Care Center, Tupelo, of natural causes.

She was born Sept. 12, 1909, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Walter and Jennie Vaughn Grosse. She married Edward J. Bauer June 7, 1933, in Cedar Falls. He died July 31, 1988.

Survived by: a son, Larry E. (Bonnie) of Tupelo; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Albert Grosse of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Irvin and Andrew Grosse; and a sister, Eva Osborne.

Services: 2 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Dike. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Memorial fund: will be established.
