Edward J. Bauer

Cedar Falls--Services for Edward J. Bauer, 81, of 2123 Crescent Drive, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Dike.

He died Sunday morning (July 31) at Sartori Memorial Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

He was born Feb. 16, 1907, at Dike son of Gus and Laura Walters Bauer. He married Dorothea J. Gross June 7, 1933, in Cedar Falls.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry E. of Lakeland, Fla.; two grandsons; a brother, Ervie of Cedar Falls; two sisters, Nellie Miller and Martha Hoffmeister, both of Cedar Falls. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Emil, Walter, and Floyd; two sisters, Myrtle Noltensmeier and Jennie Noltensmeier.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before service time Thursday at the funeral home.
