John Paul Cox

Services for John Paul Cox, 72, of Waterloo, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery in Dike.

Mr. Cox died Saturday (July 11) at University Hospitals, Iowa City, following a lengthy illness.

He was born Feb. 5, 1915, in Kossuth County near Bancroft, son of John and Pauline Runge Cox. He married Wilma Saltzman Nov. 11, 1939, in Lancaster, Mo. They were later divorced. He worked for 17 years for Deere & Co. and also worked in construction.

Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Sharon Potter of Waterloo; two sons, Joe of Cedar Falls and Harold of Traer; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Raymond, of Readlyn. He was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, a grandson, and two brothers and one sister.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.
