Death of W. F. Wilson

W. F. Wilson, a well known and prominent citizen of this city died at his home last Friday after having been sick the greater part of a year. He was of a cheerful and jovial disposition and has a host of friends who with the family mourn his death.

Obituary
William F. Wilson was born in Ogle county, Ill., June 20, 1845, and died at his home in this city June 9, 1911.

On September 7, 1879 he was united in marriage to Miss Hattie Dean of Grundy Center where he has since resided.

To this union were born four children, three of whom have preceded him to their home beyond.

Mr. Wilson came to Grundy county in 1869, and settled on a farm, afterward coming to Grundy Center and entering the butcher business.

Besides his wife he leaves to mourn his departure a son, W. J. Wilson; two sisters, Mrs. Ferdinand Zoiner of Houston, Texas and Mrs. Mary Hayes of Pollo, Ill.; and two brothers, Jim Wilson of Grundy Center and Samuel Wilson of Springfield, Illinois.

Mr. Wilson united with the Methodist church about twenty-four years ago and at the time of his death was a member of the church.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the M.E. church, conducted by Rev. Keeler, after which his body was laid away in the cemetery of Grundy Center.

Those attending from out of town were Lynk Wilson of Webster City, Mr. and Mrs. Allen of Blairsburg, Ia., Ferd Hayes of Pollo, Ill., Mrs. H. A. Dean and daughter of Humboldt, Ia., Baxter Wallace of Goldfield, Ia., Arthur Elliott and daughter Mayme of Waterloo Ia., Rev. and Mrs. Shears, Chas. Taylor and wife, Oscar Taylor and George Taylor of Reinbeck, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Jim Elliott, W. A. Elliott and daughter and Ed Elliott of Morrison and Mr. and Mrs. John Meisner of Dinsdale.
