Anna Mae Abbas, 75

Anna Mae Abbas, of Aplington, died December 4 at the Maple Manor Village. Funeral services were December 7 at the United Methodist Church in Ackley. Burial was in the Ackley Christian Reformed Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Anna Mae was born the daughter of Glenn and Tillie Schoon Lewis on July 27, 1927. As a small child they moved to Ackley where she received her education.

On April 28, 1947, Anna was united in marriage to Fred Abbas. They made their home and farmed south of Austinville. She also worked at the Cafe in Aplington, the Canning Factory in Ackley, was a Nurse's Aid at Scenic Manor Nursing Home in Iowa Falls and Allison Care Center and was a senior companion volunteer.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter; one son; her parents; an infant brother; and an infant sister.

She is survived by her three daughters; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.
