William Weitkamp Sr.

TuleLake, Siskiyou Co.--Funeral services have been held here for William H. Weitkamp Sr., 83, a longtime homesteader in the Tulelake area.

Weitkamp, who came to Siskiyou County in 1928, died Sunday.

He was a veteran of World War I and served with the Marine Corps. He was a charter member and past master of the Tulelake Grange and a member of the Tulelake Presbyterian Church and Canby Cross Masonic Lodge.

Weitkamp served two terms on the board of directors of Siskiyou County Joint Unified School District with which Tulelake was formerly affiliated and was chairman of the building committee for the present high school.

He is survived by his widow, A. Lillian; a son, William Jr., of Arroyo Grande, and two grandchildren.
