Geo. Peters Dies In Hospital

George Peters of Grundy Center died in the Allen Memorial hospital at Waterloo on the afternoon of July 4th. He suffered a heart attack at Reinbeck the week before and was taken shortly after to the Waterloo hospital He was 56 years old last March.

Funeral services were held at Bethany Presbyterian church on Wednesday afternoon. Rev. F. J. Langenberg officiated. Interment was in Grundy Center cemetery.

George Peters was engaged in the barber business during the greater share of his active life. He worked in and owned several shops in Iowa, two of them in Grundy Center. The past five years he was an automobile salesman.

George Peters was born on a farm in Tama county March 21, 1896. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Peters. His parents died when George was 4 years old. He made his home with his grandmother after his parents' death.

On September 20, 1920, Gorge Peters and Minnie Kuhlman were married in Grundy Center. They resided in Grundy Center most of their married life. The couple had no children.

George Peters had six sisters. Five of them together with the wife are living. The sisters are Mrs. Henry Mildenstein, Traer; Mrs. Christ Juhl, Estherville; Mrs. John Brandhorst, Reinbeck; Mrs. James Juhl, Waterloo; Mrs. Walter Wulf, Reinbeck.
