Marvin Van Lengen

Mason City--Funeral services were held Aug. 22 at the Burnham Funeral Home, Chetek, Wis., for Marvin L. Van Lengen, 63, of rural New Auburn, Wis., formerly of Mason City, who died Aug. 18, 1984 at home.

Burial was in Lake View Cemetery, Chetek, Wis., where military rites were conducted by the Chetek American Legion.

Mr. Van Lengen was born July 15, 1921 in Aplington and worked for Interstate Power Co., out of Mason City. He married Beverly Miles on Nov. 27, 1948 in Mason City. Mr. Van Lengen was an Army veteran having served in World War II. After retiring in 1977, he moved to the New Auburn, Wis., area.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly, New Auburn, Wis.; three sons, M. L. Van Lengen, New Auburn, Wis., Henry Van Lengen, Burnaby, Canada, and Robin Van Lengen, Mountain View, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Lois) Classon, Spirit Lake, Mrs. Peter (Billi Jo) Folbrecht, Chetek, Wis., and Jamie Van Lengen, New Auburn, Wis.; one brother, Ben Van Lengen, Steamboat Rock; five sisters, Jennie Ross and Lucille Lutterman, both of Wellsburg, Marie Colby, Ackley, Irene Miller, Mason City, and Francis Cook, Waterloo, and six grandchildren.
