Man Survived By 18 Sisters And Brothers

Albert F. Boekhoff, 55, of St. Cloud, Minn., died Thursday, April 26, 1979 at the St. Cloud hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Strohscheid officiating. Burial was held in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Sauk Rapids, Minn. Parish prayers were held Sunday, April 29 at the Benson Funeral Home followed by the VFW prayer service.

Mr. Boekhoff was born October 26, 1923 in Mayhew Lake, Minn. to John and Mary (Vanderwerf) Boekhoff. He married Margaret Ziehl on April 23, 1947, in St. Cloud and was employed by the Minnesota Department of Transportation for 30 years. He was a life member of VFW Post 428 and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Men's Club.

Survivors include his wife Marge; his mother, Mrs. Mary Boekhoff of Wellsburg and 18 brothers and sisters: Mrs. Sam (Jennie) VanHeiden, Sam Boekhoff, Mrs. Henry (Ella) Riebkes, John Boekhoff Jr., Mrs. Albert (Lorine) Boekhoff, George Boekhoff, Mrs. Delbert (Gracie) Hippen, and Arnold Boekhoff, all of Wellsburg; Ben Boekhoff, Ernest Boekhoff, both of Aplington; Dick Boekhoff and Mrs. Fannie Johnson of Sauk Rapids, Minn.; Mrs. Ben (Anna) Tjabring of Parkersburg; Mrs. Fred (Bertha) Kannegieter of Waterloo; Mrs. John (Carrie) Wehrman of Iowa Falls; Mrs. Dale (Esther) Smith of Conrad; Mrs. Leland (Evelyn) Lentz of Williams and Mrs. Carroll (Marlys) Clark of Keokuk.

Albert was preceded in death by his father, John Boekhoff Sr. and his brother, Lawrence.
