Cedar Falls--William B. Lindaman, 77, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, from complications of pneumonia.
He was born Aug. 31, 1922, in Wellsburg, son of Henry W. and Dena Oelman Lindaman. He married Betty J. Niemann on Aug. 28, 1941, in Stout. She died May 9, 1997.
Mr. Lindaman served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed by the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for more than 37 years, retiring in 1978.
Survived by: a daughter, Cheryl A. Luders of Hudson; a son, Curtis Ray; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild; two brothers, Vernon of Cedar Falls and Larry Dean of Waterloo; a sister, Elvina Saathoff of Cedar Falls; and a special friend, Evonne Bentley of Cedar Falls.
Preceded in death by: an infant son, Roger.
Visitation: 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Richardson Funeral Home. There will be no services. Burial will be later in Stout Cemetery.
