Death of Mrs. L. W. Kennedy

Mrs. L. W. Kennedy died at her home six miles southwest of Wellsburg at an early hour Monday morning. She had been troubled for some time with dropsy and heart disease but not until the last few weeks was her case considered serious.

Funeral services were held at the Ivester church Wednesday. Interment was made in the local cemetery.

Mrs. Kennedy was about sixty years old. She had been a resident of this county for forty years. During that long residence here she had formed a circle of friends among whom she was held in most high esteem.

The deceased is survived by a husband and six children. The children are, Enoch, Barbara, now Mrs. Frederickson, Julia, Leroy, Ida, and Jacob. All except the latter reside in this county. Jacob lives at Sheldon and was here at the funeral.
