Eva Lula Meyers, daughter of Joseph R. and Phidelia Strickler, was born Oct. 21, 1875 in Grundy County. She passed from this life in the Grundy County Hospital on Friday, Aug. 3, 1962. She attended public school in Melrose township, Grundy county.

Upon their return they lived on a farm in the Alice community until 1909. They moved to the farm of her birth where she lived until she went to the hospital two weeks before her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband who passed away on Aug. 8, 1945. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Jessie Moats of Eldora.
