Services At Ivester For Mrs. Ida Wolfe

Services were held at the Ivester church Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Ida Wolfe who died on Wednesday of last week at the home of her daughter Mrs. John R. Brown at Westminster, Maryland. Burial was in the Sheller cemetery. Mrs. Wolfe was 90 years old. She was the former Ida Albright and she grew up in the Ivester community.

The body was returned from Maryland to the Ferree Funeral Home in Grundy Center.

Mrs. Wolfe was born June 16, 1872, at Eldora. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Albright.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Oliver Feehan, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. John R. Brown, Mrs. Charlotte Wyatt, Delia, Kansas. Other surviving members of the family are one sister, Miss Mae Albright, Eldora. There are nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Wolfe spent several years in missionary work at Clovis, New Mexico, and Los Angeles, Calif.

The Wolfe home will always be remembered for its gracious hospitality to relatives, guest ministers and friends from far and near.

Mrs. Ida Wolfe led a helpful and active life until the last six years when she became confined to a wheelchair and later became bedfast. During this time she was cared for in the homes of her loved ones.

Ivester Rites For Mrs. Ida M. Wolfe

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Ivester Chuch of the Brethren for Mrs. Ida M. Wolfe, a longtime resident of the Ivester community, southeast of Eldora, who died June 13 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John R. Brown, at Westminster, Md.

The Rev. Earl Deardorff officiated with burial in the Sheller Cemetery. Pallbearers were Alfred Kruschwitz, Bruce Albright, Ernest Draper, Joe Albright, Galen Albright and Victor Reist and flowerladies were Mrs. Alvin Lewis and Mrs. Robert Prosser. Mrs. Howard Sheller and Mrs. John Draper provided vocals, accompanied by Mrs. LeRoy Cakerice.

Ida M. Albright, the daughter of Jacob and Barbara Albright, was born in Grundy county on June 16, 1872. She attended the rural school in Melrose township and in later years spent some time at Bethany Biblical Seminary. In early life she became a member of the Church of the Brethren at Ivester. She spent several years in Missionary work at Clovis, N.M., and Los Angeles, Calif.

In 1910 she was united in marriage to Elmer E. Wolfe of Grundy county. To this union three daughters were born: Olive Feehan of Long Beach, Calif., Charlotte Wyatt of Delia, Kan., and Mamie Brown of Westminster, Md. There were also three step-children: Mary Snapp of Eldora, Ethel Snapp of Eldora and Harry Wolfe of Ridgecrest, Calif.

In addition to the children, survivors include nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mae Albright of Eldora. Mr. Wolfe preceded her in death in February 1936.
