Martin Schwarck Died At Home

Services for Martin W. Schwarck, 78, of rural Eldora, were at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ivester Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Herbert Thomas officiated, assisted by the Rev. Kenneth Kinney.

Mr. Schwarck died at his home in Grundy County Monday. He was a member of the Ivester church and the Conrad Lions Club and had farmed in Grundy County more than 50 years before his retirement.

He was born in Melrose township, Grundy County, Aug. 2, 1899, son of Chris N. and Maud LaRue Schwarck, and married Pearl Smith Jan. 16, 1919, at the Ivester parsonage.

Surviving are three sisters and a brother, Mrs. Kenneth Kinney of Marshalltown, Mrs. Delbert Kirkdorffer, Miss Irma Schwarck and Floyd Schwarck, all of Eldora. Two sisters preceded him in death.
