Louis E. Price Services Held

Louis E. Price, 87, of Iowa Falls, died November 20, 1998, at the Carlisle Care Center in Carlisle of heart failure.

Funeral services were held November 30 with Reverends John and Mary Dannels officiating. Burial was in the Sheller Cemetery, rural Wellsburg.

He was born December 3, 1910, in rural Eldora, the son of Berryman "B.S." and Hannah Schwarck Price. He attended rural Hardin county schools.

On December 16, 1931, he married Aurella Hammer in Freeport, Illinois. They farmed in Grundy County, last farming 5 1/2 miles south of Wellsburg for 29 years, retiring in 1977.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1995; his parents; 3 sisters, Lucy Price, Hazel Sherbon and Rose Priske; and 2 brothers, Steven Price and Elmer Price.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Sharon Sayers of Des Moines; 1 granddaughter, Daphne Sayers of Des Moines; 1 grandson Christopher Sayers and his wife Lindsay of Des Moines; and 1 great-grandson, Ethan Sayers of Des Moines.

Linn's Funeral Home of Iowa Falls was in charge of the arrangements.
