CEDAR FALLS--Velma Snapp, 95, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Center.

She was born May 15, 1915 in Eldora, the daughter of Theodore and Lula (Moon) Schaa. She married William Snapp on June 17, 1937 in Marshalltown. He died September 19, 1969.

She was employed for many years with Moore's Produce in Cedar Falls. In 1969 she went to work for UNI as a Line Supervisor, until her retirement in 1985.

Survivors include two daughters, Jo Summers of Seal Beach, CA, and Cathy (Denny) Sivertsen of Cedar Falls; and five grandchildren: Jackie Wood, Barbara Plubio, Brent Sivertsen, Jamion Sivertsen, and Damon Sivertsen.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, and three sisters.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Western Home Communities Chapel, with burial in Sheller Cemetery, Ivester. There will be no visitation.
