Mrs. Alice Bisdee Rites Wednesday at Cedar Falls

Final rites for Miss Alice Bisdee, about 70, widow of the late Edward Bisdee of Cedar Falls, who died Sunday at the home of a son in Tulsa, Okla., will be at the Dahl funeral home here at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Burial will be in Fairfield cemetery, Grundy county, five miles west of Cedar Falls on the Twelfth street road.

The Bisdees resided in Cedar Falls from 1934, when they retired from their farm south of New Hartford, until Mr. Bisdee's death here in 1943. They resided at 609 Iowa street at the time of Mr. Bisdee's death.

Surviving is a son, Edward W., and several grandchildren.

The body was scheduled to arrive here late Monday night and be taken to the Dahl funeral home.

Alice Bisdee Rites To Be Wednesday

Mrs. Alice Bisdee, former Cedar Falls resident, who died at Tulsa, Okla., Saturday, was twice married.

She was born May 10, 1879, at Janesville. She was married to John N. Dority, Nov. 25, 1909.

He died Mar. 23, 1911, and she was married June 1, 1918, to Edward W. Bisdee, who died here June 12, 1943.

A daughter, Mrs. Henry Wolters, Hampton, and a son, Edward W. of Tulsa, survive. There are five grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at the Dahl funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at New Hartford.

Former Hamptonite Dies In Oklahoma

Mrs. Alice Bisdee Rites Are Held Wednesday

Mrs. Alice Bisdee, former resident of Hampton, passed away May 17th at Hillcrest Memorial hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of seventy-three. She had been a patient in the hospital since March 21st when she fractured her hip and complications set in.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Dahl funeral home at Cedar Falls and burial was made in New Hartford.

Mrs. Bisdee is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Henry Woltjer, of Hampton, and a son, Edward W. Bisdee, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and three sisters.

Since the death of Mr. Bisdee in 1943, Mrs. Bisdee had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Woltjer, in Hampton, until last August when she went to visit her son in Tulsa.
