Bertha Wiegmann

Bertha Wiegmann, daughter of Daniel and Mary Krider, was born in Grundy County, Iowa, July 2, 1897 and died in her home Dec. 9, 1981. She moved with her parents to Parkersburg Feb. 1912, which has been her home.

She was married to Wm. Wiegmann Oct. 20, 1915 to which were born one son Edward of Cedar Falls; four daughters, Lorraine, Mrs. Robert Thorne, Parkersburg, Barbara, Mrs. Wayne Calkins, Webster City, Thelma, Mrs. Marvin Flesner and Adel, Mrs. Robert Mennen, both of Parkersburg. Two step-children, Mrs. Katie Calvert, Waterloo, Willie Wiegmann, Parkersburg, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, two grandchildren, and two step-children, Mrs. Jake Ibeling and Mrs. Joe Siebenga.

Funeral services were held 1:30 Friday, Dec. 11, at the Faith Lutheran Church, Parkersburg with Rev. Wilfred Frick officiating. Music was furnished by Marcia Allspach, and Mrs. Elaine Christiansen. Burial was in St. Pauls Lutheran cemetery, Wellsburg. Schwartz-Engelkes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
