Marguerite Ford Succumbs To Cancer

Mrs. Elmer (Marguerite) Ford of Cedar Rapids died May 6 at St. Luke's Hospital from cancer. Services were held Tuesday morning, May 10, at the Kenwood Park United Methodist Church with Rev. Martin Miller officiating. Organist was Karmen Shedenhelm. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Grundy Center.

Marguerite Grace Fritzel, daughter of Oscar and Nettie Fritzel, was born in Grundy Center, Iowa, January 22, 1909. She graduated from the Grundy Center High School in 1926. On September 17, 1931, she was united in marriage to Elmer Ford at Galena, IL. They lived in Grundy Center, Benton and Linn counties.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son, Craig Ford.

Mrs. Ford was employed in the J. C. Penney Store in Cedar Rapids several years.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Schnoebelen of Prescott, AZ, and Claire Posusta of Cedar Rapids; one son, Kevin Ford of Toddville; also 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
