Mrs. John C. Freese

Funeral services for Mrs. John C. Freese, whose death occurred Saturday, December 12, were held Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 16th, at the East Friesland German Presbyterian church, in German township, with Rev. C. F. Siemsen, pastor, in charge.

Mrs. Freese was born near Freeport, Illinois, March 26, 1869. She was united in marriage to John Freese, who preceded her in death by many years; following this she came to Ackley, and resided here several years; more recently she had made her home in the country, near Cleves. The funeral services were largely attended by friends who had known her through the years, and by relatives.

Surviving are Mrs. Joe Boyenga, Ubbe Heetland and Paul Heetland, all children by the first marriage, Chris Freese and Mrs. Albert Kies, all living in the vicinity of Ackley. There are 20 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Anna Anderson of Mission, Texas, Mrs. Tena Janssen of Marion, S.D., and Mrs. Jennie Janssen, and three brothers, Dick Beving, Dook Beving, both of Spencer and Ubbe Beving of Ackley.
