Another Old Resident Called
Jacob Nymeyer Claimed By Death Saturday Night--Had Been Resident of Southwest Butler County Full Forty Years
Jacob Nymeyer passed away at the family home three miles east of Ackley, in Washington township, Butler county, Saturday morning at seven-thirty o'clock.
Jacob Nymeyer was born in Balk, West Friesland, Holland, October 21, 1851; came to this section of Iowa in 1876 and his residence here was continuous through the years. He is survived by his wife (her maiden name was Miss Engelina Harenga) and eleven children. Two married sons, Ary and Charley died in 1912 and 1915 respectively. All the others survive.
Deceased is survived by five brothers, Bart of Carlsbad, New Mexico; Henry of Goshen, Indiana; Johannes of Blackfoot, Idaho; John of Loving, New Mexico; Fred of Globe, Arizona; and Charley of Ackley; the sisters are Mrs. Meines of ElPaso, Texas; Mrs. De Freese of Milford, Indiana; and Mrs. J. Jansonius of Ackley.
Funeral services were held at West Friesland church, conducted by Rev. Agena and Rev. Sennier of Aplington, yesterday afternoon.
