Mrs. H. Luitjens died at her home in West Shiloh Tuesday night from heart failure. She has been troubled with a weak heart for several years but her death came unexpectedly. Funeral services were held at the Engelke church in German township Saturday. Mrs. Luitjens was 69 years old. She has resided in this locality for over thirty years. She was the mother of six children. Three of them are boys and three are girls who with a husband survive her. The daughters are Mrs. Dick DeNeui, Mrs. Orrend Martin, Mrs. Chas Vantiger. The sons are L. H., Will and Henry.

Mrs. Henry Luitjens died at her home last Wednesday at the age of sixty-nine years and four months. Mrs. Luitjens had been ailing the past year but still her death came unexpected. Heart trouble was the cause of her death. She leaves to mourn her death her husband and seven children, Luitjen of North Dakota, Willie of Holland, Henry of Independence, Mrs. Jake Christians and Mrs. Ornt Martens of Little Rock and Mrs. Dick DeNeui and Mrs. Charley Vantiger of this place.
